Welcome to the Early Identification Program Application

In 1987, George Mason University established the Early Identification Program (EIP) to support students who will be the first in their families to attend college. EIP empowers students to become productive and responsible citizens and achieve their goal of attaining higher education. Students who successfully complete EIP with a 3.2 GPA or higher are automatically admitted into Mason.

EIP is designed to support students academically and personally through numerous activities and events. We provide weekly tutoring, mentoring and a host of seminars that focus on college admissions, financial aid and paying for college, goal setting, and study skills. We also provide a family seminar for students and parents that focuses on family communication, advocacy, and planning for college.

As a reminder, we are offering weekly Application Help Sessions to support you. Dates and times are updated each week on the EIP Application Home Page.

You can join these sessions to ask questions and get help with your application, especially if you are having trouble accessing the application. These sessions are optional.
